Most of us who make our albums chronologically, struggle with "keeping up." It's a psychological issue mostly, and I have found that by pre-making some benchmarks it's easier for us to keep moving and easier for us to fill in the missing pieces later. Many of my customers find this workshop helpful.
In January, we create six 2-page layouts. One layout for each month. They don't have to specifically say January, February, etc. just have a designed theme that will go with your photos for that month. You don't even have to use the January layout for photos taken in January if they don't fit well. For example, in 2009 I created a January layout that was a snow scene. Well, we didn't get snow until February! No problem, I just shuffled the January layout along into February.
I hope these layouts spark some ideas for you. I've labeled what Creative Memories products I've used to create them. All of these designs have been inspired by layouts I've seen and adapted to the materials I had in inventory.
